Dan pops Atomic Swerve, a Dry-Hopped Farmhouse Style Pale Ale from Threes Brewing, during an earlier tasting session.
Threes Brewing Atomic Swerve
STYLE: Dry-Hopped Farmhouse Style Pale Ale
INGREDIENTS: 2-Row malt and Red Fife NYS Wheat with Nelson Sauvin hops
ABV: 5.8%
IBU: 40
AVAILABILITY: 12oz Cans, Draft (Limited)
Stats above taken from the brewery’s can and website.
Appearance
Dark yellow/light orange in color and fairly hazy, with a fluffy, white head.
Aroma
Funk hits first, with tropical notes of overripe pineapple and guava paste.
Taste
Fruity hop notes lead into earthy/funky notes and overripe kiwi.
Mouthfeel
Dries the tongue, but has a good body and mouthfeel with a pleasant carbonation.
Overall
Pairing-wise, I think this could go with lighter fowl/poultry dishes, though I was thinking of a dish with chicken, sundried tomato, and mushrooms…so rustic?
Cheers and remember:
