Dan split a Green City box with Dad On Tap, leading off with Other Half’s Madcamp Monuments, a hazy IPA with Simcoe, Cashmere and Riwaka.
Other Half Brewing Madcap Monuments
STYLE: Double Dry-Hopped American Hazy IPA
INGREDIENTS: Hand-selected Simcoe, Cashmere and Riwaka
ABV: 6.5%
IBU: N/A
AVAILABILITY: 16 oz. cans/Draft (Limited, Green City Box)
Stats above taken from the brewery’s can and website.
Appearance
Hazy, fresh-squeezed orange juice in color with a very fluffy, white head.
Aroma
Navel orange and tangerine with a hint of apricot and dankness.
Taste
Combination between Tropicana no-pulp and Five Alive with a hint of Simcoe dankness.
Mouthfeel
Carbonation really rounds out the mouthfeel and does not let the hop presence be too much on the palate.
Overall
A really solid hazy IPA, which could be sessioned for sure. Pairing-wise, I was feeling Southwest egg roll, spring roll, and curry puff were speaking to me.
Cheers and remember:
