If Dan sees Tmavé, he tends to buy it (and enjoy it)…this one, from Wayward Lane Brewing, is Tmavé Pekař, and it delivers.
Wayward Lane Brewing Tmavé Pekař
STYLE: Tmavé (13°P Czech Dark Lager)
ABV: 5.0%
IBU: N/A
AVAILABILITY: 16 oz. cans, draft (Rotating)
Stats above taken from the brewery’s can and website.
Appearance
Super dark brown with some hints of ruby through the light with a tan head.
Aroma
Roast, with a hint of fruitiness0.
Taste
Hint of pour-over/French Press roast coffee note mixed with toasted bread and sweet malt.
Mouthfeel
Full body and coats the tongue on the mouthfeel.
Overall
I feel this approachable for a dark lager. Burgers to steaks all work, though this could also bring flavor if it was used in the cooking process as well.
Cheers and remember:
Life’s a tap…drink up ’til it’s dry.
